How does the system Operate?
The Step-Hear system consists of two parts: an indoor/outdoor transmitter base (SH-200) installed at places and services for use by the public and a personal activator held by blind and visually impaired users, which activates the system. Pressing a button on the activator triggers a pre-recorded message in the base unit. The base unit serves as an audio compass, directing the user exactly towards the service.
